Career-connected learning helps students reach goals through career exploration, hands-on learning, work-based academic programs, and paid work experiences.
The state expects 740,000 job openings in the next few years. More than 70 percent of jobs require a credential beyond high school, but only 40 percent of our state’s students go beyond high school.
As part of Career Connect Washington, we are a regional network that offers King and Pierce county students opportunities to build the skills for well-paid, in-demand jobs. Students participate in Career Explore, Career Prep, and Career Launch programs that expose them to new opportunities, real-world experiences, and earn-and-learn internships and apprenticeships.
